Cheers mate, from what I can tell, Daiwa, Drennan and Browning are 35mm too. Just need to find one with the right action now.

The drennans fir the triune so I think they are closer to 3. I will take one to work today and measure with the micrometer. I only mention drennan as they have fast taper, etc specifix tips.

Ken the Pacman Regular member Site Supporter. Joined Aug 24, Messages 4, They do the Horizon S class but the spare tips start at 2 oz so so original Daiwa or Drennan at 3. Browning Sphere tips are 3mm. Lighter carbon tips seem very prone to breakage.
Last edited: Oct 20, No they don'T - I have tried them. Their stock listing is incorrect. As promised I've mic'd up a bunch of tips, both at the very end and 1 inch up the tip. Drennan 2oz Carbon - 3. I have a few Tricast tips and Shakespeare Mach 1 tips that I will also mic up next week.

Incidentally I'm after some replacement tips for my skimmer rod, tne Preston Absolute super feeder, superb soft rod but not over impressed with the carbon tips, seem brittle , any suggestions?
